Melkbosstrand Private School (MPS) is a place where ChangeMakers are raised and released through a unique combination of High Touch Quality Education + Innovative Learning Methodologies, underpinned by Christian Values, that take place in a unique environment.
MPS is a Christian private school situated in the beautiful countryside of Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, Western Cape. We are a proudly South African co-educational school catering for children from ECD through to Gr 12. We offer a mix of parallel and dual medium from ECD to Gr3 and dual medium (Gr 4 to 12), offering our students a world-class, balanced education with a focus on academic, physical, emotional and cultural development of each student.
MELKBOSSTRAND PRIVATE SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS
- Melkbosstrand Private School is one of the Western Cape’s Top 5 performing Independent schools
- MPS has achieved a 100% Matric Pass rate every year since our first Grade 12 Class matriculated in 2011
- 2024 matric results – MPS has in its 1st IEB NSC examinations and for the 14th consecutive year, achieved a 100% pass rate and have achieved a 91.4% Bachelor’s pass rate for its matric learners.
- The 2024 group also attained an impressive total of 41 distinctions and 42% of the group attained an average of 70% or higher.
In 2018 Melkbosstrand Private School was awarded an Umalusi accreditation
Umalusi is one of three quality councils in South Africa whose role is to develop an education framework and manage the standard of qualifications for general and further education and training.
Accreditation by Umalusi is a legislative requirement for schools offering the curriculum leading to the National Senior Certificate.
It is granted by Umalusi to independent schools that participate actively in its quality assurance initiatives and meet the minimum standards in each of the criteria for accreditation.
