The introduction engineering activities will help prepare our learners for the changing demands of the future workforce – helping them to be come #Changemakers who are equipped to go out and make a change in the world.
AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
Some three years after first intoducing the subject, Agricultural Management Practices to its ‘stable’ of subjects, MPS is incredibly proud of the learners boldly taking the reigns and their achievements thus far.
Isabella Rabie and Lulibo Dyani were the first MPS learners to take part in the Moreesburg Agri Youth Show in 2023, competing against 14 other experienced learners in the senior
meat cattle category. They also did us proud by bringing diversity to the show by being the only female learner and learner of colour at the show.
MPS is one of a few, if not the first, independent private school promoting Agriculture among the youth of South Africa for the future.
MPS is privileged to partner with Mr. Seymour Currie of Joyce’s Angus Stud who acts as a mentor to our learners, sharing with them his wealth of knowledge as a championship Angus breeder.
In addition MPS is excited to partner with RFID Experts Africa, a subsidiary of BKB, who are planning to erect a fully-automated electronic cattle handling facility on site to give our learners exposure to the latest precision technology used in agricultural management practices.
