When it comes to Health & Safety, Melkbosstrand Private School is uncompromising.  MPS is committed to being a safe school and in turn the safety and welfare of all our employees, learners & visitors is paramount. Preventative Occupational Health & Safety measures are practised and essential to ensure an efficient and productive learning environment. Senior management is responsible for day-to-day safety and accident prevention at the school and on excursions. MPS’ policy is to provide a safe and healthy place of learning and to abide by the regulations set out in the OS&H Act.

We also view it as our priority to encourage our learners, their parents, our suppliers and all business associates to do the same.

COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE

 

MPS is proud to be one of the 1st schools in the Koeberg Nuclear vicinity to earn a certificate in compliance City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management department’s requirement for Emergency Preparedness.

Mrs. Audrey Pienaar-Bouwer, our then Head of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), received the certificate 22 April 2016. In attendance was Mr. Franco Johannes, representative of Cape Town Disaster Risk Management for Area North.

MPS is committed to Health & Safety in general and to prepare and educate our students, staff and parents to act responsibly in the event of any type of emergency.
